The Imperial Cities Tour from Marrakech

This tour is designed for travellers who wish to discover the culture, history and architecture of the old Moroccan dynasties (Almoravides, Almohades, Merinides, Saadians and The Alaouite).

This very popular tour from Marrakech is a big opportunity to explore the Moroccan culture, the local traditions and the history of old dynasties.

This tour will include a visit to the following imperial capitals: Fez, Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and Meknes. Each city is very exceptional and almost unique with its own architecture, culture and heritage.

1st Day: Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat - Fez

Departure in the morning from Marrakech, direction Casablanca, the economic capital Morocco. We will start our tour by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, the old medina and the new town, then we will continue our trip to the Rabat, we will have a short city tour to discover the ruins of Shellah, the Kasbah of the oudayas, the Mausoleum of King Mohammed V as well as some monuments dating from the 13th century.

Continuation of the tour to Meknes where we will discover the granaries of Moulay Ismail, Bab Mansour and the famous Place el Hdim. After lunch we will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis before continuing the excursion to Fez, 1st night and dinner at the hotel.

2nd day: Guided tour in Fez city all day long

In the morning, after breakfast we will visit the old town of Fez, the Souks of Moroccan handicrafts then we will have lunch in a local Restaurant in the Medina. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

3rd Day: Fez- Chefchaouen - Tangier

Departure in the morning at 08:00 am to Chefchaouen, a very beautiful city where all the houses are painted in blue color, this charming Moroccan town is one of the favorite destinations for photographers. We will have a city tour in the Medina of Chefchaouen, and then we will continue our tour to Tangier where we will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

4th Day: Tangier – Marrakech or Casablanca

Tangier, or the pearl of the north is one of the most beautiful Moroccan cities, a successful marriage between tradition and modernity. We will visit the old Medina, Souk Dakhel, El Boulevard Pasteur and the sea coast. Depending on your travel program, this tour may end in Marrakech or Casablanca.
